This charming antique German serving tray has a porcelain center featuring a lovely, vibrant design of a branch of Plums with leaves and is set in a silver medal frame in a cut work basket weave type pattern. It is stamped on the back with the image of a cedar tree and a hunting horn along with the initials MD. The makers mark use from 1895 by Max Dannhorn, the Max Dannhorn Metal Warenfabrik was founded in Nuremberg, Bavaria in 1872. and produced magic lanterns and metal frames for trays, baskets until 1921. it appears he ordered the ceramic parts from Villeroy and Bach. The bottom also bears the number 3162 and the embossed marks 2HQ and 1913. This piece is in very good shape for a 111 year old antique piece. Amazing really. It has a satin ribbon on back if you would choose to hang it. Note plate stand not included. Measures 10.5 inches. Non smoking pet free home. #UPB3
