This wonderful platter is a rare find designed by renowned British designer, Jessie Tait for Midwinter in Staffordshire, England.
Jessie Tait was a prolific English ceramic designer working for some of the biggest names in the industry including Midwinter, Johnson Brothers and Wedgewood. Her Midwinter lines were made in the 1950s, were hand painted and often incorporated geometric styles.
This wonderful platter has fantastic a fantastic atomic starburst design in pink, blue, black, and gray. It is the epitome of midcentury retro and would be wonderful if you collect pieces from the time period or simply love the funky retro style. If you're a collector of Jessie Tait, this would be a must have for your collection!
The piece is in good condition with no chips or cracks but does have some light crazing the colorful design pops and displays wonderfully.
