This item is the Collectible Pie Bird Vent. Pfaltzgraff 'Weir in Your Kitchen' Peacock
This Peacock Pie Bird was made by Pfaltzgraff and was introduced in 2005 by Joanne Weir through their ‘Weir in Your Kitchen’ line. Its head looks down and the beak is lying against his chest; it is embossed with an elegantly scrolled motif which accentuates the feathers. The ‘Weir in Your Kitchen’ line was offered in four colors: Chicory (blue); Cayenne (reddish); Ginger (brown); Fennel (yellow). Pfaltzgraff retired Ginger on December 31, 2006 and the remaining three colors (Chicory, Cayenne, and Fennel) on May 15, 2009. It measures 4 ¼” tall and is not marked. No chips, cracks, or crazing. VERY COLLECTIBLE!!
