Antique French shoe buckles with riveted cut steel forming a beautiful crescent moon design. A pair of vintage riveted cut steel shoe buckles from France, with the shape of four moons on each buckle. One of the buckles has the original leather insert and clip, the other one does not. These French shoe buckles are highly sought after, and are very beautiful. True Rare beauty.
There are three missing rivets, but they are the small ones, and they are not too noticeable. Each buckle measures 2 5/8 x 2 .
Most of these are found as singles, not pairs. These are very, very well-made, and a really nice design. The workmanship is incredible, as each piece had to be hand-shaped, polished, and added to the frame.
They sparkle like diamonds, and they are really beautiful. As display pieces, they would be stunning. This is museum-quality antique French jewelry.
