The 1985 NIKE sealed set is a hot commodity for the pre-1986 Fleer Jordan included. Some people sell sets that are “factory sealed” but the backside does not have the blank cardboard that is used in the real original factory sealing.
Many of these being posted show a Michael Jordan card on the back. I have posted pictures here to demonstrate a real original in my collection in a glass case vs a sealed package sold to me that is not from the original print.
Note the issues:
- font is slightly off in the “factory sealed” pack of the Jordan card on back.
- the margins are off. Fake NIKE Jordan RCs have all the print shifted to the left relative to the real version. Notice the horizontal lines relative to the card edge.
- in this case, notice the extra horizontal line in the fake under the first “career highlight” bullet. That is one sentence and the original does not have this extra line.
