Overview

The platter in the image is a John Maddock & Sons platter, likely dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. John Maddock & Sons was a family-run business operating in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, England, from the 1830s until the 1980s. The company produced earthenware and ironstone dishware, and the mark Royal Vitreous China was used on white ironstone pieces after 1906, which isn’t here. There is a small chip to one corner, dime size. see pictures.
