Vintage Miska Jug handmade and signed Karcag. The Miska jug is a wine vessel in the shape of a stylised human figure wearing the braided jacket of a Hungarian hussar. The jugs often have a writhing snake on the belly or the handle, a symbol of long life, suggesting eternal life. Quote above from the Museum of Ethnography.
this one is 9 H x 5.5 at fattest part 3.5 bottom.
Very good condition, 1 slight glaze chip. See third picture , second black decoration is chipped on tip. Could be painted with black enamel and wouldn't show. No other defects.
