Vintage 1974 Bakuba Batik Double Flat Sheet Brown Martex West Point Pepperell

This double or full flat sheet is from
1974 by West Point Pepperell and
Martex in the Bakuba Batik design
brown color. 50% polyester 50%
combed cotton. I bought a set of 
these from Marshal Fields in Chicago
in 1975 and they are easy care 
sturdy bed linens. The designer was
the Design Works which was established in 
1969, at the express suggestion of 
Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis as part of 
the Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Corp, 
a community revitalization project conceived 
and begun earlier by the late Robert F. Kennedy.
Measures 90 X 54 and simply stunning.
