Due to aging, there are stains, discoloration, etc. Volume 1 has water stains and handwriting. Volume 4 has a tear on the upper spine. There are many stamps of the Seicho no Ie spiritual training dojo on various volumes. There are yellow stains, discoloration on the spine, and other issues. Since I have not checked all volumes, there may be other defects as well.
