Maria Angelica Moreno Kiernan, was the illustrator for the Museum of Natural Science in La Plata, Argentina during the 1950's, She dedicated her work to zoology, Botanicals and Entomology, here are 3 of her artwork, given to my Mother by her. there are 3 pieces, one is an Owl, the second is a dark bird (not sure the spieces), and the 3rd one is of 2 small birds perched on a flowering tree. The detail and movements are beautifully depicted. With the frame each piece measures 9.5 x 12
