Blackie was introduced June 25, 1994. His design was inspired by the earlier bear named Cubbie. The end design that was used for Blackie was a lot different from the original plans. One Blackie is made in Indonesia with a Canadian tush tag and PVC pellets. The other Blackie is a fourth generation swing tag and third generation tush tag with PVC pellets.
