Purchased at Tokyo Starbucks Reserve Roastery during my visit in January 2025.
These animal-motif pins are made of the same material as eyeglass frames and are made of many layers, allowing you to enjoy the overlapping colors and patterns.
The design is inspired by the Quetzal Bird native to Central America region.
These pins are made by Japanese skilled craftsmen by stacking plate-shaped glasses material (cellulose acetate) in a mille-feuille shape and cutting them into the shape of animals using precise cutting techniques using a drill.
