This wonderful hagoita features a ukiyo-e style samurai. I am not an expert, I'm calling him a samurai based on his sword handle. Maybe he's a kabuki actor playing a samurai which would explain the liquor bottle. Muted tones of silk fabric, complements multiple decors. I'm not sure how old it is, it has lots of character. 20 inches in length.I've never seen one like this, I bought it many years ago as an "antique."I don't have the necessary knowledge to date it, but it's definitely old and it's a unique and beautifully crafted piece.Bamboo painting on the back.Just lovely.
