The fabric is woven with threads twisted tightly to enhance strength, and it is characterized by fine wrinkles on the surface known as shibo. While it is common to have one fabric per area, Yonezawa weaving is rich in unique textiles such as Nagaimu, Okitsuma, and Beni Hanabira, and is also known for its high-quality tsumugi fabrics.
