I purchased this Oliver Peoples frame around 2014 at obj in Ginza.
At the time, it was very popular, especially the yellow demi color, which was constantly selling out as soon as it arrived. I remember having to go back several times to finally get it.
The yellow demi color, its texture, and its luster are beautiful. The temple engravings and the beautiful color of the ATG are eye-catching.
I wore it frequently for about 2-3 years after purchasing it, but recently I've been cleaning and storing it, only wearing it occasionally (it's not my main pair).
Especially with the increasing rarity of the Optec Japan period, I've been hesitant to part with it and have been keeping it as a part of my collection. However, if there's someone who would wear it, I'd like to let it go.
I've taken good care of it, but there are some minor scratches on the temple ends (see image). I recommend having it polished by the manufacturer or a shop. (I'm listing it as slightly scratched ).
The lenses are the ones I had put in at ODJ, so please replace them if you wish.
The glasses case is also a vintage label, which adds a special touch and will satisfy your desire for ownership.
The glasses cloth is unused.
The clip-on is a brand new ATG that I purchased from Arknet. The lens color is green. (There are minor scratches on the lens).
It's extremely difficult to find the frame, let alone the clip-on, so this is a rare opportunity to purchase them as a set.
The frame and clip-on are both ATG, which makes for a great match. I highly recommend them.
Product Description: A remake of a masterpiece from 1987! This is a model from Oliver Peoples' early collection, famously worn by STING. It was featured in numerous magazines like ELLE and VOGUE in the 80s and is a masterpiece that is essential to understanding Oliver's history. A Boston-style combination frame. The engravings on the bridge, rim, and temples are as beautiful as antiques. The thin frame and the shape and size are perfect. These delicate details create a classic and intellectual atmosphere, but that's not all that Oliver is about. The surprisingly wide width prevents a feeling of being cramped and provides a comfortable fit, which is another point not to be missed. The temples have delicate metal engravings. The attention to detail is impressive, even in inconspicuous areas. It's truly remarkable.
