Pizitz Snack Set Service for 8.
Host your next 8 person informal gathering in Antique Style. This Snack Set was purchased in 1924 from Pizitz Department Store in Tuscaloosa. Alabama. Gatherings of an informal nature are legendary in the area. Snack Sets were popular during the depression era. They were used during meet and greet functions where the food could be carried along with your drink and your hands were still free to greet other guests. The Snack cup usually held the beverage but versatility allow them to now hold dips, fruit etc. Whatever the host desires.
Pizitz Department Stores started in 1899. It has 8 Trays shaped like shells and 8 Cups with Pink Roses and Green Leaves. All are trimmed in gilded gold. All pieces are in Excellent Vintage Condition. They have no chips, cracks, breaks or crazing. They appear to have never been used.
