High end department store Neiman Marcus commissioned Swedish glass artist Erik Hoglund to make figural bottles in the 1960s. Part of Hoglund's 'People' series, which consisted of matching decanters modeled as a man, a woman and one or 2 children. The man is scarcer than the woman.
This unique piece features a striking green color and abstract art design with flat face on the head and arms on main bottom piece. 9.25 size. Made in Italy This piece is in excellent condition.
Erik Höglund (1932–1998) was one of the brightest stars of 20th-century Swedish glass design. During his years at the Kosta Boda and onwards, he challenged long-standing design conventions with new ideas about shapes, colors, and expressions.
