Beautiful Vintage Peruvian Chancay Cuchimilco Seated Woman Statue Reproduction Figurine. White & Gray Slipped Pottery with Black Trim. Marked. A Chancay burial figure with other worldly features including short arms and divine eyes. Nice details including a headband and tattoos. Handmade, Slipped and Painted Terracotta clay pottery. Marked as an official replica of Pre-Colombian Chancay burial art pottery. Lots of color and textural interest. This is an NOS New Old Stock item from a shop in Santa Fe, NM, that closed around 1985 and has been in storage since then.
Has an ARTE CHANCAY impress under the foot. The back has a partial and unclear stamp with a handwritten model number and artifact number in black marker.
