Diverting from a pure sport focus, attention turned to hip-hop culture, and arguably its biggest stars at the time: Jay Z and 50 Cent. This shoe was gifted from executives at Capitol Records. A bunch of the executives were given pairs at a Jay Z-hosted event. This pair was a part of a limited, promotional release.
