Stunning and rare, high quality and beautifully colored Fujian “sugar” fluorite. This lustrous, dichroic fluorite is from a newer find out of the Xia Yang (Xiayang) Mine in Yongchun, Fujian Province, China. Fujian fluorites are world class for gorgeous color and natural etchings, and this specimen is an ideal example of the fine mineral. Great translucency with a dreamy ombré of hues from aqua blue to mint green to baby teak blue throughout the phantom zoned coloring. The fully natural, raw specimen has a sprinkling of microcrystalline, glassy clear quartz crystals on one side creating the “sugar” look. The translucent crystal is fully crystalized / terminated all around with naturally etched and glassy luster. It has a dreamy and colorful glow when backlit. The fluorite is UV fluorescent and glows vivid blue. An excellent collector’s grade, cabinet sized display specimen measuring approx 5 by 4.5 by 3.5cm and weighing 3.3 ounces.
