These are a beautiful pair of old maurotomo ware jam, nut, trinket, dishes. It is square and has a figural Kookaburra on the top as the finial. It is decorated with gum nuts and leaves scattered over the sides of the dish and lid. The green color really sets off the lovely yellow and browns in the nuts and branches. It is stamped on the with Maurotomo Ware T marking and made in Japan. It would date around the 1930s and is in great condition with only usual crazing for it's age.
