Adorable and collectible!! This little vintage toy is a miniature wooden tea or coffee set inside an apple. It was probably made in Japan in the 1930s as it belonged to my mother. This set includes 10 pieces: Coffee or teapot (with separate lid), 2 cups and 2 saucers, sugar bowl with lid and two piece apple which holds the set.
Approximate Measurements of the pieces (all are in good vintage condition): Apple marked JAPAN on the bottom with a diameter of: 2.75 . The teapot or coffee pot measures 1 1/4”tall and the sugar bowl measure 1” tall, and the tiny tea cups are 3/4” high, saucers 1” diameter.
While played with as a child, it was cared for. It’s been in a cabinet for about 60 years. It has been treasured. But it is time for a new story. If you had one as a child, share this with your grandchildren. Please see photos for any condition concerns.
