Vintage 1930s - 1940s Retro Leaf Shaped Cream Enamel Gold Tone Patented Fancy Clip On Backs Earrings.
The clip backs have a pretty engraved floral design and are marked PAT (patent) 1967965 - granted by the US Patent Office in 1934 for the clip mechanism. It is extremely rare to find these markings on earrings today!
The enamel on the front of the earrings is pitted and worn off in places. The gold tone surfaces are scratched from age and wear.
Each earring measures approx 1 inch long x 3/4 inch wide. Together they weigh 4.4 grams.
