Here we have #18, with the raspberry plant along the shaft and a snake head on the handle. The stem and leaves are carved & burned with inlaid polished, Maine garnet defining the raspberries. Two Maine tourmaline define the snake eyes, and the entire piece is finished with natural tung oil.

Tamarack is so light and strong that it was used as braces on wooden sailing ships, so the Maine Tamarack Walking Stick is durable enough to last a lifetime. Weighing just under a pound, this walking stick is both sturdy and stylish. The handle is 6 inches long, and the cane is 36 inches tall.
