Siam made (Thailand) vintage nielloware turquoise colored sterling silver brooch. The brooch features Mekkala, the goddess of lightening. Mekkala(h), the Goddess of Lightning – shown with lightning bolts coming from her hand. A well known figure in Thai culture. This is by far the most common character depicted in Siam jewellery, and is the theme you normally see in Siam jewellery. This one is oval shaped

The left figure is Ramasoon, the god of thunder.

Marked as sterling and tested positive as such. I've hand polished it and it's in excellent condition.
