Offered are 4 dinner plates crafted by J & G Meakin in England in their Blue Nordic pattern. This hand engraved pattern features a classic blue onion design on delicate white English Ironstone with an embossed swirl rim. It is a lovely but discontinued pattern.
These 10-inch plates are in nice vintage condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or crazing, and little to no bottom wear. One of the plates has a very small brown spot on the face of the plate in the rim area and is shown in one of the photos. Although I could not see utensil marks, it is possible that very light ones might be seen, but only if looking up close and when turned to the light just so.
The plates are dishwasher safe. They would be perfect used as replacement pieces or combined into a unique mix-and-match set. (They would combine nicely with other classic blue and white patterns.) They would also make a nice gift for someone who collects the pattern.
