As shown. See all photos. Published by McLoughlin Brothers New York. This softcover chromolithograph children’s learning book has seen better days. Some tears, blemishes, creases. Found among ephemera belonging to my ancestors. Given what was with it, if this isn’t a first edition, it’s from not long after. I’m not seeing a year. What I do see is my mother’s mother’s father’s (1875–1931) name (A.H. Keith) scribbled in pencil on one of the in-between pages. Selling in as-is condition. Will protect and pack well in shipment.

9” x 10.5”

“A chromolithograph is a multi-color print created through a chromolithography process, which uses a separate lithographic stone for each color to produce vibrant, detailed images by overlapping inks.”

“McLoughlin Bros. was a New York manufacturing company active between 1858 and 1920. As a publisher itself, the company was a pioneer in color printing technologies in children's books. The company specialized in retellings of classic children’s stories.”
