This is a vintage rustic sifter made by BROMWELL'S sometime in the late 1940's. Sifter is most commonly used for flour but also works well for sugar, icing sugar, cornmeal, cocoa & other similar. This sifter is discolored and spotted all over a silver metal body on the outside & inside but it would still make an excellent piece for farmhouse decor style or mid-century modern kitchen. It has a red color wood handle that turns sifter & 3 cup capacity which can be measured using the impressed markings on its side that read 1 cup, 2 cup & 3 cup. Impressed on the front is- BROMWELL'S MADE IN U.S.A. MEASURING-SIFTER GUARANTEED PAT NO. 1,753,995.
