This vintage salad serving set from the 1970's features a Norwegian theme in beautiful pewter by H.S. Konge Tinn. The set includes two salad servers 10 inches in length, perfect for serving your favorite greens. Crafted in Norway, each is decorated with Viking scenes up and down the handles, both front and back. The top scene reads: HEILAG OLAV; the middle scene: OG HANS MENN; and the bottom scene is not labeled. The base of the handles are marked: PEWTER H.S. NORWAY. The pair is in excellent vintage condition! FYI from the picture captions: 1st picture - King Olaf of Norway was canonized as Saint Olaf (Heilag Olav), patron saint of Norway. 2nd picture - this translates to "and his people."
