Vtg MID CENTURY Ice cube Tray Textured Aluminum 18 Cubes lift & pull handle. The Tray measures 11 1/8" Long x 4 1/2" Wide x 1 5/8" deep, the handle sticks out 2 1/2" extra and the ice-separator metal slats stick up another 1" above the top of the tray
There is a FILL LINE marked near the handle, where the first 2 cubes will form. Stay on or below the fill line; if the cubes are too thick they are really hard to pop out, and you will risk damaging the handle mechanism by having to force it too much
Be prepared to clear out a level, flat spot in your freezer to support it as it freeezes. In the old days, Freezers had special shelf dedicated to holding ice cube trays. Not today! I found it a little challenging to balance the open tray on top of lumpy bags of frozen vegetables in a big pull-out drawer freezer
It took about 2 hours to freeze solid, it might have gone faster if I had not peeked a few times. By the end, it had begun making mysterious metallic "PLINK!" ...."Tik-Tik
