Has been working great until this past March. I closed and reopened the monitor quickly, and it shut off followed by a burning smell. It wouldn't come back on. I got around to taking it apart: the only issue I can see is the monitor cable and connector. A pin burned off the cable, and the connector also looks damaged. It's definitely where the smell was coming from. Photos attached.
I recently plugged it in again to test something for a user question and it smelled hot again. Possibly did more damage. There's an apparent short somewhere. However the laptop monitor did turn on, so the monitor still functions.
