A nostalgic look back at the 20th century from the early years 1900-1945, then year by year through 1999.

In 1900, most people worked over 60 hours a week, the average summer wardrobe provided more body coverage than today's winter sportswear, and music lovers had to visit special "phonograph parlors" in order to hear the latest recordings.

Expensive and unreliable, the few automobiles on the road (only 4,000 were even manufactured in 1900) tended to belong to wealthy Americans. The rest relied on 10 million bicycles and 18 million mules and horses to take them through the nation's unpaved streets.

A lot changed in that 100 years. Take a walk through time in pictures.

Published in 2001. In excellent pre-owned condition. Makes a great coffee table book or gift.
