This Princess of Holland is part of the Barbie Dolls of the World Collection by Mattel Toys. She comes from the Dutch Golden Age which was 1588-1672 when Dutch trade, science and art were the most acclaimed in the world. She is a princess in a palace in the beautiful city of Amsterdam.
These International Barbies were created by the Barbie Collectible Specialty Doll Division of Mattel. This international line officially came out in the 1990s.
They all feature a little piece of the history of the doll's life. These collections were designed to pique the interest of children to become interested in the cultures and histories of other countries.
