This is a vintage 9 ft. Split Bamboo Fly Rod with two tips. I believe this rod is a trade rod made by a bamboo fly rod manufacturer like "Montague or South Bend" for the J. C. Higgins stores. The rod has been refitted with line guides conforming to today's recommendations and standards.
One of the two tips has been broken and refitted with a replacement tip resulting in a shorter section of about 3 inches.
