The flat bottom and the rainbow shaped sides are bamboo reed that is wired together for sturdiness. It is painted a light yellow or cream color and it is the original paint. The paint is distressed on the edges. Could be painted any color and used for a variety of things. It measures 16" long and 21" tall to top of handle. Handle folds up or down. Very nice piece.
