Today, potters in Bangladesh use simple wheels and dexterous fingers to create a variety of practical household pottery such as pots, pots, bowls and toys. There are two traditional methods of making clay products in Bangladesh, with wheels and by hand. Toys, dolls and figurines are handcrafted or made using forming moulds. Pots, pans, jars, bowls, pitchers, storage containers, etc. are made on wheels or a combination of both techniques. Wheels are usually the job of the men, and the women do the hand styling, shaping, trimming, etc. Once the clay dries, it is burned in a fire to solidify the product. Heating in fire gives clay objects an orange-red color, a very typical terracotta color.
