What is SUGAR CANE Super “Denim” Collectibles?

SUGAR CANE Super “Denim” Collectibles is a new label launched by Yuichi Fukutomi of Sugar Cane, bringing together denim specialists. Known as SCSC, this label welcomes Shigeki Wakaya, one of the world's leading vintage denim collectors, to recreate the individuality of these rare and valuable deadstock and golden-size super vintage pieces that are now virtually impossible to obtain.

And this spring's release of
SUGAR CANE Super “Denim” Collectibles
『14.25oz. BLUE DENIM
The original deadstock for this model is

At first glance, it looks like a 1937 model, but it has a very rare Copyright 1942 inscription at the bottom of the flasher, making it an early 1942 model.

It was produced for a short period from April to August 1942, and the back strap and crotch rivets are still not omitted.

While the 1937 model used the head of a regular copper rivet crushed for the concealed rivet part, this model uses a dedicated iron rivet.

This change also led to the flasher's CONCEALED COPPER RIVETS being changed to CONCEALED POCKET RIVETS.

The denim fabric has a different thickness and unevenness than the 1937 model, and a black-plated iron buckle specifically made for this model is used. The tack on the back of the button is a copper-plated type.
