Antique Early 1900s WWI Portrait DOUGHBOY Soldier O. L. Archer Dayton Ohio Brass Bronze American Flag Eagle Convex Dome Bubble Glass Frame

Portrait of O. L. Archer, an American soldier from Dayton, Ohio. Measures (includes frame) roughly 21.5” long x 15” Wide x 2” deep. Very unique and rare early American portrait. It’s also quite rustic; the portrait itself is very antiqued, by way of air & humidity over all the years & decades. I don’t know whether the frame is the original one for the piece, but it should be noted these old fashioned dome glass metal frames are know for not being airtight or snug. While the glass dome fits adequately and doesn’t risk falling out, there IS a bit of wiggle-room between the frame’s inner edge and the edge of the dome glass. This isn’t the result of damage or age; it’s just the way the style of frames were made back then. Very rare & beautiful piece, and would perfectly tie any rustic setting together with its character and uniqueness. Sold as pictured
